Backwards

I know, I know - I haven't posted in forever. But hey, I'm posting NOW!

Arrrr...I feel like a pirate in this outfit. Or Captain Morgan. Heh. All I need is a sword. Oh wait - I have two at home. No, really, I do. I'm that much of a nerd.

Stripes and Flowers

I’ve been wanting to play with mixing stripes and florals for a while now, and when I saw this cute little cropped top at Aeropostale for $5, I just HAD to grab it.

Un-Boring White

I. LOVE. This. Dress. I love it despite the fact that the bottom is a weird length, it's practically see-through (thank God I have slips), and it wrinkles like CRAZY. It's worse than linen (it's rayon)!

Crazy Pants

So, I've been seeing the printed pants trend in every magazine lately and thought, "Ugh, CRAZY," ESPECIALLY about most of the floral ones. But then I saw these a few months ago at Change Clothes. I couldn't help but be drawn to them, though I resisted for a long time. Finally, though, I tried them on, and while they've got wider legs than I like (I prefer slimmer pants) it was instant love.

Audrey Hepburn

My boyfriend told me I looked like Audrey Hepburn today when he saw me. It must've been the bun and the sunglasses. And maybe the twirling.

I'm baaaaaaaack!

Hello, lovely (and handsome) readers! It's sooooo good to be back! I apologize for my long absence - I kept having photographer trouble. However, I believe I've fixed that problem, so I should be posting on a semi-regular schedule again. That is, as long as my boyfriend (yes, I said boyfriend) contributes to my blogging habit.

These photos were taken by my wonderful friend Mindy. She took a few others, including these, these, and these, but her big-girl job keeps interfering with my fun, so Will's going to have to step up to the plate.

And speaking of posting, here you go!

I've been dying to wear this skirt ever since I got it - it's actually a wrap-around skirt that ties on the side. I love the color, the beading at the bottom, and how it makes my waist look extra tiny. Instead of pairing it with white or cream, which would have been safe, I decided to pair it with the red, and it worked beautifully. A bright blue like this plays well with warm colors - red, coral, pink, orange. Yellow however, is very iffy, and if it's paired with a green, it'll need to be a nice Kelly green, not dark or neon.
